Head of Strategy, Projects and Product Development

Mr. Francis Wasswa is the Head of Strategy, Projects and Product Development at Finance Trust Bank. He has over 10 years of progressive banking experience and has been providing thought-leadership in the areas of Strategy, Product Development & Project Management, Digital Financial Services Development and Digital Transformation Journeys.

Francis has worked for different institutions including: Pride Microfinance Ltd (MDI), Ministry of Trade Industry and Cooperatives’ Uganda Export Promotion Board, Nelson Mandela University (South Africa) and has consulted for reputable organizations like the World Bank, UN, COLEACP and World Wide Web Foundation among others.

He holds several accolades including: The Ford Southern Africa Premier Award, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University/Economic Research Southern Africa Merit Award and Grameen Foundation recognition- for Commitment to fostering of Change Management in Digital Financial Services best practices.

Francis is a certified Master Project Manager (MPM) from the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM), holds an M.COM Economics (Cum Laude) and B.COM Economics (Honors) from the Nelson Mandela University Port Elizabeth, South Africa and an B.A Economics from Makerere University Kampala and is Published internationally.
