Mr. Ali Lwanga is a professional Banker with 11 years’ experience in micro credit and banking operations. He has worked with Finance trust bank since 2005 in different capacities; as Branch Manager, Credit Administration Manager and Acting Head of Credit. He previously worked with Uganda Women Finance Trust Ltd (UWFT) and was instrumental in its transformation into a fully-fledged commercial bank.

Mr. Lwanga holds a Masters in Micro finance and Banking, from Universita Degli Studi Di Bergamo which is one of the state owned universities in Italy, a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) majoring in accounting from Makerere University Kampala.

He has attended a number of both international and local short courses including; Microfinance Plus_the potential of linking microfinance with programs in health, education, environment and value chain development by PlaNet Finance and University meets Microfinance (UMM), individual lending and cash flow based appraisals by Microsave Africa, Credit Analysis and Risk Management in Corporate Lending by the Uganda Institute of Banking & Financial Services and Monetary and Financial statistics for supervised financial institutions by Bank of Uganda.

Mr. Lwanga is dynamic and adaptive to different working environments and very comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
