Finance Trust launches ‘Trustcash’ ATMs
History is made as Finance Trust becomes the first MDI to launch ATM network in Uganda
Finance Trust today made history as it launched its own automated teller machines (ATM) called TRUSTCASH. The launch signified a milestone in the company’s achievements as the ATM switch makes Finance Trust the first and only Microfinance Deposit-Taking institution to own and manage its own ATM’s.
Highlighting the importance of this move the CEO noted that this was is in line with the company’s desire to increase access to affordable high quality financial services to Ugandans in a progressive, responsive and sustainable way.
“The investment demonstrates our on-going efforts to upgrade our service delivery infrastructure and channels to enable us deliver high quality affordable services to our customers in a way that is convenient for them”, said Mathias Katamba, Chief Executive Officer Finance Trust.
The first branches where the ATMs have been rolled out are; Kampala road branch opposite Agip House, Jinja Branch on Jinja Main street, and Kalerwe branch opposite Kalerwe market in Kampala. They will now roll out across the Finance Trust network over time.
“Our own ATM switch will allow us to leverage this technology over time to offer a number of additional payment options and in different ways give our customers access to service without the limitation of branch opening hours. We will continue to invest in initiatives that make it possible for us to offer world class services to micro and small scale entrepreneurs and low income Ugandans wherever they may be in an affordable and convenient way.” He said.
Trustcash ATMs are also part of the Bankom network, which means that the wide public that has access to the network will be able to enjoy our services and our customers will also continue to have access to the provider ATMs that are on the network.
